Nicole Vacila’s journey has been defined by her dedication to helping others. From a young age, she strived to make a difference and followed that passion into a career in healthcare and insurance. Now, as an expert in health insurance, her mission is simple: to make insurance understandable and accessible to everyone.

For empowering her clients with confidence and her expertise in the field, Vacila has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who and included in their prestigious biographical volumes.

About Nicole Vacila

Vacila has always gravitated toward helping others. During her sophomore year in high school, she enrolled in night school to become a nurse aide. Upon graduating, she served her community as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and later returned to school to become a medical assistant.

Vacila received a degree from the focused degree program in medical assisting from the Morse School of Business in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1998.

At the beginning of Vacila’s career in the healthcare industry, she had to overcome her natural shyness. Though initially a hindrance to her career, within months, she grew past her shyness to excel at her job.

A Shift in Career

Vacila took a break from her career to focus on being a stay-at-home mother to her children. However, after a change in her personal life, she returned to the workforce to support her children and herself. She defines the situation as a “sink or swim” moment, and she was determined to swim.

Due to her previous experience in healthcare, Vacila felt a pivot into the health insurance industry was natural, allowing her to continue helping others. An important part of her job is simplifying complex terms for her clients, therefore empowering them to make educated decisions about their insurance.

Vacila considers her work to be a calling. She doesn’t concentrate on sales but on helping those people who come to her for assistance. Her knowledge of health insurance, life insurance, Medicare, supplement, and group policies enables her to guide people to the best choices for their lives and families. She takes the time to understand a person’s health, hopes, fears, and needs and educates her clients on their coverage so that they are comfortable with their decisions moving forward.

“We’re all going to decline in our health. We want to know and understand how we are covered and ultimately feel confident in what to do in the event of an event. That way, when the time comes, we can focus on healing ourselves instead of getting stressed out about insurance,” Vacila said.

A Commitment to Helping Others

Vacila’s services are free to her clients, and she takes great pride in assisting those who come to her. She stresses that her door is always open, even if people just have a question.

Vacila continues to focus on increasing her knowledge of the insurance industry, recognizing that everyone has room for improvement. Her goal is to eliminate any weak spots and enhance her expertise further. Now that her children are older and more independent, she can dedicate more time to herself and her profession.

“You don’t have to go at it alone. You can be in hard times and still get the advice and attention that you need,” Vacila said. “Sometimes I specialize in insurance and sometimes I specialize in assurance.”
