The Metaverse experience invites users to explore Casa San Matias’ estate replica to learn traditional tequila processes while completing challenges and earning collectibles NFTs.

Miami – Casa San Matias opened the doors of the first blue agave field on The Sandbox at midnight on October 28 at midnight ET to celebrate el Dia de Los Muertos (the Day of the Dead) all throughout November. This Mexican celebration honors the dead from November 1st to November 2nd, bringing together entire families to reunite with the souls of their departed relatives to celebrate their lives.

This digital gallery is a faithful replica of the Casa San Matias estate, down to the smallest detail; these include the central plaza, their signature cantina, and the blue agave field. Users can also encounter a futuristic scene that features floating agave fields, hidden bars, and the infamous underworld where the living and the dead collide, guiding users into a one-of-a-kind Web3 tequila journey.

In addition to learning about the CSM tequila legacy, users can complete two quests. They will become part of the Jima,  reaping the blue agave fields, distilling and bottling of the tequila, and be part of a treasure hunt of bottles around the estate, unlocking secret areas. Those who complete the quests will earn collectible NFTs.

‍“We are excited about this project; the connection between the digital and physical worlds is a parallel to el Dia de Los Muertos we couldn’t pass on to celebrate our Web3 transformation. This is only the beginning; Casa San Matias will continue to develop land in the metaverse, new spaces, and experiences to connect with our users in an immersive digital space”. Commented Humberto Ojeda, Casa San Matias Global Business Director.

‍Casa San Matías wants to be the link between innovation and legacy. The tequila house’s commitment to traditional and artisanal production has made it a favorite among tequila enthusiasts worldwide. They remain faithful to each step of producing their tequila: from the growth and harvest of the agaves to the distillation and aging methods.

This activation aims to connect with consumers by educating them about authentic tequila production.

To enjoy this Web3 experience, log on to the Sandbox Gallery. Users can start unlocking features and win rewards on their Discord community. For more details on Dia de Muertos with Casa San Matias in The Sandbox, visit metaverse.sanmatias.com
