Sales Professional Corbin Allen’s story shows how powerful the right mentorship can be. “I never really had a mom physically present,” Allen shared in our private interview. “She prioritized everything else over me. I didn’t have the traditional childhood I am able to give to my kids today.”

When Allen got out of prison at age 20, he had no formal education and a past that could’ve easily brought him down mentally, but he chose to forge a stronger path.

“I got into working on air conditioners,” he said. “I didn’t know you could sell air conditioners, but I always had a knack for communication.”

Discovering Gene Slade and Lead Ninja System

Allen’s second breakthrough came when he was introduced to Slade.

“Gene was the real deal,” Allen asserted. “There are many sales trainers who don’t walk the walk. Gene’s backstory and practical advice are different. I first heard him on a podcast and decided to try his techniques. They worked.”

In June 2023, Allen attended one of the Lead Ninja Mansion Events in Orlando, Florida, where Slade himself offers a full weekend of transformative training. Attendees of the Mansion, like Allen, are able to take advantage of discounted rates for Slade’s ongoing weekly Lead Ninja Mastermind, which happens on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 AM ET. Allen took advantage and has been excelling in sales ever since.

Achieving Success in Sales

Transitioning from a technician to a sales role wasn’t easy, but Allen’s persistence paid off.

“I realized the guys selling air conditioners were making more money than I was,” he said. “Doing sales for almost three years now, I managed to hit $5 million in sales in Mississippi, which is big for my area.”

Personal Transformation and Family Life

Allen’s personal life flourishes along with his professional success. He married shortly after his release from prison and became a devoted family man.

“When I met my wife, I knew I wanted to marry her immediately,” Allen shared. “We’ve been together for over five years, raising four boys. It’s been a steady climb, and we’ve built a beautiful life.”

Allen attributes much of his success to the structured training he received from Slade.

“Gene’s process is solid. Most salespeople don’t have a process — they just wing it. Gene’s methods are practical and easy to implement,” he explained.

With a clear vision for the future, Allen continues to strive for excellence.

“In 20 years, I want to look back and say I’ve been a faithful husband, a good father, and a successful professional,” he said with conviction.
