Amy M. Paul is a professional in the field of business development and management, currently serving as the chief financial officer, co-owner, and co-founder of Plastic Pipe Associates Inc. Paul established the business in 2017, alongside her husband and another business partner, who had identified a gap in the market for training related to polyethylene products worldwide. In this role, she oversees finances and works closely with clients across various sectors, including federal agencies and contractors.
Educational Achievements
During her career, Paul pursued a Bachelor of Arts in business and economics from The Evergreen State College in 2011. She also completed studies in the accounting program at the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. She achieved this while being a young mother, balancing the demands of working and raising a family, demonstrating persistence and dedication.
A Journey Beyond Business: Transformation Through Adversity
Long COVID brought Paul face-to-face with unimaginable pain and, ultimately, a near-death experience. She describes how, at her lowest, the sickness transformed her perception of life. “I shut down all my social media and changed my phone number. Before that, I thought I was just a regular professional. But then I got really sick, and everything changed,” Paul states.
For her, this was more than a physical ailment — it became a deeply spiritual journey. At one point, Paul describes a near-death experience where she felt enveloped by a beautiful, bright light. This experience left her with new insights into her life’s purpose. “I learned things. God answered all of my questions. My great-grandmother was there — I couldn’t see her, but I could feel we were communicating.”
Working Toward Community
The experience has influenced how Paul looks at her work and community. In the coming years, she intends to create a better community and hopes to make a significant impact in the lives of others by offering recruitment services to those who face challenges in their career paths. Paul uses her skills to help others never give up and achieve their dreams, working with them toward a better future. She is considering pursuing quantum healing hypnosis technique (QHHT) training and engaging in motivational public speaking, knowing she can help others by sharing her life experiences.
Finding Success
Paul attributes her success to a never-give-up attitude, partly instilled in her by her father and partly due to her personal journey. Her father taught her to be independent, which has become the foundation of her achievements. The business acumen she has developed over the years remains instrumental to her career.
Learning What it Means to Be
Outside of her professional career, Paul is an active member at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church in Pine Island, Florida. Despite how difficult it may seem, she has often turned to God for answers, recognizing that everyone has a purpose to accomplish and learn from. Paul is only starting to understand what it means to be, always acknowledging that she is no different from anyone else.
