Diana McNear’s career has always been rooted in helping others, and her transition from healthcare to financial services was driven by a deep desire to provide clients with the peace of mind they deserve in retirement. With over 30 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Diana’s focus has shifted to helping individuals and families plan for a financially secure and stress-free future.
“My passion for helping others is what led me to start my own business,” Diana shares. “After years in healthcare, I saw that financial literacy was often overlooked, and I wanted to bridge that gap by helping people navigate the complexities of long-term care (LTC) insurance and retirement planning.”
Diana’s journey has been shaped by a commitment to lifelong learning and a drive to provide comprehensive care. Earning her Doctorate degree and starting her own practice were pivotal moments in her life. “I’ve always loved learning new things and applying them to help others,” Diana explains. But as her career progressed, she realized that traditional healthcare didn’t allow her to fully connect with her patients. “I wanted to spend more time with patients, get to know them on a deeper level, and truly make an impact in their lives,” she reflects.
This desire for a more personal approach led Diana to the financial services industry, where she focuses on ensuring her clients’ financial security, particularly through LTC protection. “People are living longer, and with that comes a need for more support,” she says. “I want to help them plan for a future where they’re financially secure and able to stay in their homes, regardless of age or health.”
Starting her business came with its challenges, including getting credentialed with insurance providers and overcoming her initial discomfort with sales. However, Diana quickly learned that success in her field wasn’t about selling products—it was about truly understanding her clients’ needs. “I didn’t feel like a salesperson; I was offering a solution to a real problem. And that made all the difference,” she shares.
Diana’s efforts have paid off, with numerous milestones marking her success. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is helping clients secure the LTC protection they need. “Knowing that my clients can age at home with the proper protection in place is the most fulfilling part of my business,” she says. Diana also authored a book titled Challenges and Strategies for Coping with Aging, further demonstrating her commitment to helping others.
Looking ahead, Diana is determined to continue growing her business and impacting lives. “I want to earn $30,000 to $50,000 a month, expand my social media presence, and reach more people who need help with retirement planning,” she says. “My mission is to help healthcare providers, and everyone else, protect their futures just as I do for my clients.”
