Going to court can be a trying and turbulent time for many, with heightened emotions and anxiety. This can be even more severe for parents facing custody battles in family court. One law professional serves clients in this field of law with aggressive representation and a dogged determination to help families achieve justice.
Alexandria J Crouthamel, Esq., has been aiding families in Pennsylvania through her exceptional career as an attorney at law. Crouthamel’s achievements in the field of law have earned her various awards and acclaim, including being named a Marquis Who’s Who Top Professional.
Discovering a Passion for Law
When Crouthamel first pursued her undergraduate degree, she elected to study forensic science. However, spending long periods in a lab did not suit her. As a social person, she preferred to work among other people. Her grandmother then suggested that she intern for a mutual friend, a Court of Common Pleas Judge.
Interning at the prison once a week proved to be a transformative experience for Crouthamel. She decided to work within the court system and attend law school. In 2015, she graduated from Alvernia University, a private university in Reading, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science in forensic science and a minor in criminal justice.
Crouthamel later obtained a Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law, a private law school in Wilmington, Delaware, in 2019.
Ambitions in the Field of Law
Upon graduation, Crouthamel was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and through the U.S. District Courts of the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. She is also barred in the United State Supreme Court. As an ambitious young professional, Crouthamel made a decisive career choice when she opened her private law practice at 27- Crouthamel Law Offices, P.C.
“It was a big gamble,” Crouthamel reflects. “I would attribute my success to my self-motivation.”
Serving Her Clients With Pride
Crouthamel’s law office handles many cases regarding family and custody law. She has served many parents who face wrongful convictions of child abuse. In one case, a mother was accused of harming her child with shaken baby syndrome. Although these charges were later dropped, the mother was taken away from her child for four years, and Crouthamel’s office is suing civilly on behalf of this client.
In carrying out her daily duties, Crouthamel often spends eight to 10 hours a day in court. She drafts legal documents, attends hearings, conferences, and trials, meets with clients, performs negotiations, and more.
Crouthamel takes pride in her law office’s emphasis on client communication and customer service. She is aggressive in her representation and straightforward and honest with her clients.
“People like honesty and straightforwardness,” she asserts. “Because I’m aggressive and honest, I do get very favorable results.”
Achieving Influence in the Field
Crouthamel’s achievements in the field of law have garnered her various awards and wide recognition. She was nominated as the Most Influential Woman for Lehigh Valley Style in 2023 and for the Super Lawyers in 2023.
Crouthamel has also been featured in the Wall Street Journal’s “Top Professionals,” on the cover of Suburban Life Magazine for the January 2024 issue, and in Lehigh Valley Style’s “Successful Women in the Lehigh Valley.” Her inclusion as a Marquis Who’s Who Top Professional further signals her influence in her field, as well as her inclusion in Vogue Magazine.
A Commitment to Serve
Today, Crouthamel continues to dedicate herself to representing her clients at Crouthamel Law Offices. To give her clients superior representation, she remains abreast of changing laws, such as the recent introduction of Kayden’s Law, which changed custody law in Pennsylvania.
For her career future, Crouthamel plans to expand her practice as she strives to contribute to the well-being of her community. She also plans to extend her firm by adding more associates and opening multiple offices. As she continues her dogged work in aiding others in protecting their families, she plans to continue expanding her own family.
