Renee Swatz, MA, LMHC, MHP, has dedicated her career to helping others through mental health counseling. Her commitment to helping others started at a young age and has resulted in a passion for helping individuals struggling with mental illness.

Swatz embarked on her professional journey in the mental health field as a counselor for Telecare Corporation in 2023. She subsequently worked as a licensed counselor at LifeStance Health. Following this period, she joined a group private practice, PRN365, where she provides therapeutic support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges in their lives. Swatz’s passion for understanding human behavior and helping others navigate their emotional challenges has driven her success.

Owned by Cindy Perryman, PRN365 offers individualized therapy services in the realm of outpatient psychological care, with a particular focus on relationship management, employee assistance programs, cognitive behavioral therapy, and more. Boasting several locations throughout Washington state, PRN365 also provides extensive telehealth options to regional patients.

Drawing from a solid educational foundation, Swatz received an associate degree from Oakland Community College, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a master’s degree in counseling from Oakland University.

Additionally, Swatz is set to earn a certification in religious trauma. Her academic achievements have played a pivotal role in her career, providing her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel as a mental health professional.

Swatz holds a particular interest in religious trauma due to its relevance today, stating, “We’ve got a generation of young people in this country who have grown up in this country, but their parents did not. And their parents are very stuck on traditions. There’s a difference between what the religious Holy Book says in terms of commandments and those sorts of things versus traditions. And we have this whole generation that is being raised up right now that is challenging those traditions and it’s causing a lot of disruptions within the family. In that, this generation is carrying a ton of guilt and shame that nobody really understands except the kid going through it.”

The factors currently drawing Swatz to religious trauma are the same that led her to pursue a career in psychology during her middle school years: her innate sense of empathy and a desire to help others. Her educational path reflects this early commitment, leading her to specialize in counseling

Over time, Swatz has developed a balanced approach that combines compassion with professionalism, allowing her to provide effective support while safeguarding her well-being.

Throughout her career, Swatz has honed her skills in building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, enabling her to connect meaningfully. Looking toward the future, she envisions combining her love for health care with personal fulfillment. Among her goals, Swatz aims to establish a private practice on an island in Washington state.
