Alexandria J. Dominici, MS, CCC-SLP, is the owner of Speech Specialists LLC in Millstone Township, New Jersey, and a dedicated speech-language pathologist specializing in motor speech disorders. From an early age, she felt a calling to help others and envisioned a career centered on making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Today, she continues to fulfill that mission through compassionate care, evidence-based practice, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
A Commitment to Learning and Growth
Dominici began her professional journey in the field of education, where she discovered her passion for individualized instruction and meaningful human connection. Seeking a more specialized path that combined her love of teaching with scientific inquiry, she transitioned into speech-language pathology.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Saint Joseph’s University in 2017, followed by a Master of Science in communication sciences and disorders from New York University in 2020. During her graduate studies, she developed a keen interest in research related to childhood apraxia of speech and other motor speech disorders—areas that would later shape her clinical focus
Throughout her career, Dominici has prioritized professional development, dedicating countless hours to continuing education, advanced certifications, and clinical mentorship. She is Prompts for Restructuring Oral Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) Certified and has received advanced training in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) by Edyth Strand. In addition to focused training and certification in the area of motor speech disorders, Dominici has specialized training in orofacial myofunctional disorders, gestalt language processing, and sensory processing. By embracing challenging cases and seeking out new learning opportunities, she has built a diverse clinical toolkit that allows her to provide tailored, effective care for every client she serves.
About Speech Specialists LLC
In 2023, Dominici founded Speech Specialists LLC to address the growing need for high-quality, patient-centered speech therapy. Her vision was to create a practice grounded in empathy, collaboration, and individualized care—one that prioritizes not only the child but the entire family.
At Speech Specialists, Dominici emphasizes a holistic therapeutic approach, working closely with families to build trust, foster communication, and create lasting progress beyond the clinic walls. Her dedication to long-term relationships and outcome-driven therapy has earned her a reputation for excellence and compassion in her community.
In addition to her private practice, Dominici serves as the director of speech and language services at Sovereign Care Services, an autism-centered clinic. In this role, she oversees the speech department, mentors fellow clinicians, and provides specialized one-on-one treatment to clients with complex speech and language needs.
Recognition and Professional Achievements
Dominici’s unwavering commitment to her field has earned her numerous accolades. She has been named among NJ Family Magazine’s “Favorite Kids’ Docs” in both 2024 and 2025 and has received nominations for “The Best of Monmouth County.” Additionally, she is the recipient of the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) and the Early Career Professional Award from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Her advocacy extends beyond clinical work. In 2025, Dominici’s efforts to raise awareness of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) led to an official proclamation from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s office, recognizing National Childhood Apraxia of Speech Day across the state of New Jersey.
Future Goals and Personal Pursuits
Looking ahead, Dominici plans to expand Speech Specialists LLC, opening additional locations—including one in Bordentown, New Jersey, in early 2026—and building a team of clinicians who share her patient-first philosophy. She also aspires to teach at the university level, mentoring graduate students and clinical fellows, and ultimately pursue a doctoral degree within the next decade.
Outside of her professional life, Dominici enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and exploring New York City. Whether in the clinic, classroom, or community, Dominici remains steadfast in her mission: helping others find their voice and empowering them to communicate with confidence.
