Some great pieces of affordable activewear are always useful, whether you are using quarantine to get in shape or just need something casual to wear to the grocery store or to your next Zoom meeting. Activewear is great because it can pretty much be used for anything from actually exercising to just lounging on the couch. The problem is, a lot of popular activewear brands are super expensive (cough, cough Lululemon). Quality activewear doesn’t have to cost your entire paycheck, though. Here are some great pieces of affordable activewear that will get the job done without breaking the bank.
Sports Bras
It might seem silly to wear a sports bra when you’re working out at home, but it’s not just about coverage, it’s about comfort. Sports bras are also great if you need to run an errand and don’t have the patience for a real bra but need a little something to keep your outfit from being accidentally scandalous.

These Double Couple Racerback Sports Bras ($33.99 for a pack of three) are amazing. I’ve had my set for at least a couple of years now, and all three of them still look brand new. These sports bras are supportive without being restricting, and they’re nice and breathable. They’re great for running, cardio, yoga, or anything else you might need to do. These bras are also comfy enough that you can use them for all-day wear if you just don’t feel up to putting on a regular bra, which I almost never do. I wear and wash these bras almost constantly and I can’t rave enough about how durable they are. For the price, you just can’t beat that quality.

If you’re looking for something a little more casual, the Calvin Klein Women’s Modern Cotton Bralette ($16.80) just might be exactly what you need. This bra is much better for lounging or laid-back exercise than more high impact stuff, but you can’t beat it when it comes to comfort. These are made of cotton, so it just feels like nice cozy pajama fabric. There is still a little bit of support, so it’s perfect for just hanging around the house but feeling a little more put together than wearing no bra at all.
Tank Tops

icyzone Racerback Running Tank Top ($13.99) is the perfect combination of cute, comfortable, and practical. This tank top is super lightweight and sweat-wicking. It’s versatile enough to be great for any kind of exercise and its also great for layering. It comes in a ton of colors to suit every outfit, so it’s hard to go wrong with this staple piece.

For a tighter fit, the DISBEST Racerback Laser Cut Tank ($14.99) is a great option. This tank top is form fitting so it’ll stay put for your whole work out, but it’s still stretchy so it will move with you and won’t feel restricting. It’s got a super cute laser cut design that also makes this shirt nice and breathable. A lot of reviewers recommend ordering a size up or the torso length might be a little short, but other than that note, this is a very solid workout top option.
Leggings

There is no greater pair of affordable leggings than these Baleaf Women’s Ankle Leggings ($18.99). I bought a pair of these leggings in October 2016 and I wore them yesterday. The only indication of how old they are is how frayed the tag is. Even after four years, these leggings are still never see-through no matter how far you might bend over. They’re breathable, comfy, and stay up nicely. My pair is black, but they come in a variety of colors if you’re more adventurous than me. If there is one item of affordable activewear that you can’t live without, it’s these.
